Went here to purchase a part for van, found out after getting it home that it was not what we needed. Never had put it on car. Called the very next day to see if we could bring it back because it was a part we did not need nor did we use. We were told that it could not be brought back. After talking to the guy for a while my husband finally got them to agree to exchange it for something, unfortunatly they did not have the part that we did need. About a week later we did have something that we could use so my husband called them and asked them about availability and they had one. (It was a fuel pump) Then he told them that he had the other part to exchange on it. He had to go through the story again because they had "forgotten" that they had told him he could exchange the unused part. He went to pick it up and paid the $50.00 price difference (first part was $35.00) and brought it home. While installing it the plastic tip broke off of it just as it had the one we were having to replace when changing the fuel filter. We were told by Dodge this was because it was old and essentially had "broken" down over time. The following day my husband called Anderson Used Auto and explained to them what had happened and asked if they would exchange it for another one. They said no, it was not broken when he got it. He talked to them some more and they agreed to give us another one for an additional $50.00...sound familiar? Anyhow we just cut our losses at that and decided that this is just not a company to deal with. They are not very friendly and there are several places around them that have a much better attitude toward their customers. In todays economy it is very sad to see that a salvage business would try to take advantage of consumers like this. I understand they are in business to make money, but really they should stand behind what they sell. I understand it is salvage, but even then if I am giving you $80 for a salvage part (new one would have been $150.00) you should at least stand behind it. It certainly was not our fault it was "dry rotted" but as we were told it was not broke when we bought it. Its certainly not like we broke it on purpose! We are out $80.00 and a car still! We dont have the money to put into another fuel pump at this time and now have two that are broken. I would strongly advise against buying anything from these guys. The service isnt much to talk about and their attitudes plain out suck! Buyer BEWARE of this place!
